Huawei is reportedly working on the Pura 80 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. Today, reliable leaker Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post to share the key specs of an upcoming phone. While he didn’t specify the name of the phone, it is speculated that he could be referring to the Pura 80 Pro. Here’s a look at the details shared by the tipster.
Huawei Pura 80 Pro specifications (rumored)

The above leak suggests that the Huawei Pura 80 Pro’s engineering prototype is equipped with a 6.78-inch flat OLED LTPO panel with 1.5K resolution and narrow bezels on all four sides. To recall, the Pura 70 from last year featured a completely flat display, whereas the Pura 70 Pro came equipped with a quad-curved screen.
The leak further states that the Pura 80 Pro’s rear camera setup will house a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary sensor with a variable aperture, which should enhance its ability to capture high-quality images in different lighting conditions. The main snapper will be joined by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with macro functionality, both featuring smaller sensors.
Notably, all three cameras are said to utilize a custom RYYB sensor setup, which Huawei typically employs for improved low-light photography. The leak also states that Huawei will unveil it in the second quarter of this year.
In related news, Huawei will hold a launch event on March 20 in China to unveil a new foldable phone with an unconventional 16:10 screen aspect ratio. This device will be the company’s first smartphone to run on the HarmonyOS Next.
