For the past few years, Huawei has been continuously posting a positive growth for their smartphone shipments and it isn’t surprising that the Chinese smartphone giant has did it again during the first quarter this year.
According to Huawei, more than 34.5 million smartphones had been shipped in Q1 alone which marked a 22% increase in global smartphone shipments compared to the same period of time in 2016 – allowing it to claim the 3rd spot as the world’s largest OEM manufacturer.
Although Huawei is still currently struggling to gain its market share in the US market, that doesn’t stop the Chinese company from becoming a growing threat to other smartphone giants like Samsung and Apple on the global front. Needless to say, the company’s sales figure will be even higher if US carriers begin carrying Huawei’s flagships like the newly released Huawei P10.
