Huawei has silently announced a new mid-ranger smartphone in Thailand earlier today. This device, known as the Huawei Y7p, boasts a sleek hole-punched display and has an impressive AI-powered triple-camera setup on it’s rear panel.
Huawei Y7p Specifications
First and foremost, the Huawei Y7p features a 6.39-inches IPS LCD display with 1560 x 720 pixels screen resolution. It has an overall footprint measuring 76.13 x 159.81 x 8.13 (mm) and weighs approximately 176g.
The device is driven by an octa-core Kirin 710F SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB native storage space in it’s memory compartment. It’s storage space can be further expanded by up to 512GB via it’s dedicated microSD slot.
Moving on to it’s camera, the triple-camera setup on it’s rear panel comprises of a 48MP (f/1.8 aperture) main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.4 aperture), as well as a 2MP depth sensor (f2.4 aperture). It’s front-facing camera also has a decent 8MP (f/2.0 aperture) sensor.
Software-wise, the Huawei Y7p runs on EMUI 9.1 (based on Android 9). It will however be pre-installed with Huawei’s App Gallery instead of Google Play store.
It is fueled by a respectable 4,000mAh battery with support of 10W wired charging. For those who’re interested, the device is offered in both Midnight Black and Aurora Blue.
At current stage, there is still no official words on it’s pricing and availability.
