Chinese smartphone maker Infinix has announced it’s first-ever 5G smartphone known as the Infinix Zero 5G in the global market, as the company seeks to make it’s presence felt within this highly competitive market.
As the first 5G model for the company, the Infinix Zero 5G shoulder the responsibility to impress consumers, considering that many would be pay close attention to it’s highly anticipated launch.
Glad to say, the phone certainly lives up to our expectations. Starting with the front, the Infinix Zero 5G sports a 6.78” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfie and video calls.
On the rear side, the Infinix Zero 5G sports a square-shape camera island which seems to be heavily inspired by the OPPO Find X3 Pro (Review). This will be home to a triple-cam setup that includes a 48 megapixels main camera, 13 megapixels telephoto lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Infinix Zero 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Infinix Zero 5G draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which brings support for a decently fast 33W wired charging speed. As usual, the phone will be shipped with the custom XOS 10 based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Infinix Zero 5G is available in a trio of colors such as Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue and Skylight Orange. Sad to say, the company has yet to announce anything pertaining to it’s official pricing and availability at the moment, but we’ll probably learn more about them in the coming weeks.
