Android Rumors Infinix Leaked News

Infinix Zero Flip could be launching soon, preliminary details emerge

Infinix is a brand that made its name mostly by selling affordable phones in entry- and mid-range segments in African and Asian regions. However, the brand has tried to level up in recent years with projects like the Concept Phone 2021, which brought 160W wired charging, and the recently unveiled e-color shift technology. It has now been brought to light that Infinix is working on a clamshell-style flip phone, which could be its most ambitious project to date.

The European EEC certification listing first spotted model number X6962 alongside the Infinix Note 40 Pro last month. A new report by Android Headlines has now tied the model number to the Zero Flip moniker. The Infinix Zero Flip is set to be the company’s first foldable.

There is no information about the phone’s technical specifications as of now. The report only confirms the model number, the official moniker, and the manufacturer. It is void of any hardware or software details.

That being said, the Zero Flip will most certainly be an affordable foldable for the mass audience if the brand’s history is anything to go by. The ECC listing does hint at an imminent European launch, but there is no concrete information about the phone’s release date or market availability.

The Zero Flip could draw inspiration from the Tecno Phantom V Flip. For those who don’t know, Tecno and Infinix, together with Itel, are part of Transsion Holdings.

To recall, the Phantom V Flip, which debuted last year, features a 6.9-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED screen and a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED cover screen. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8050, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is packed with a 4000mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging.

The phone has a dual camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. It is also equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
