In December 2022, iQOO unveiled the iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro in the Chinese market. Hence, this year, the brand may announce the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro in December. The rumor mill is gradually leaking details about the iQOO 12 series. In the latest Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station seems to have leaked the camera details of the iQOO 12 Pro.
Earlier this month, DCS claimed that the iQOO 12 will be equipped with an OmniVision OV50H 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch primary camera, which has a sensor size of 1.2 µm. In the latest leak, DCS has claimed that iQOO has also tested the OmniVision OV64B periscope zoom camera.
Hence, there is a possibility that the iQOO 12 Pro’s camera setup may include an OmniVision OV50H 50-megapixel main snapper and an OV64B 64-megapixel pericope camera. The tipster did not mention anything about the ultra-wide camera of the device. There is a possibility that it may inherit the 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, which was made available on the iQOO 11 Pro.
Vivo recently unveiled its Vivo V3 imaging chip. It is speculated that the Vivo X100 series Pro models will be the first to feature the V3 chip. There is a possibility that the iQOO 12 Pro may also have the V3 onboard.
The other specifications of the iQOO 12 Pro are under wraps. However, there is a high possibility that the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It may come with other features, such as a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED display with support for 2K+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, and a big battery with support for 200W wired and 50W wireless charging.
