iQOO 12 tipped to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 1 TB storage, and more

Last year, in December, iQOO unveiled the iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro in the Chinese market. While the vanilla model made it to multiple markets, the Pro variant remained exclusive to the Chinese market. It is unclear whether the company will use the same strategy for the iQOO 12 lineup, which is expected to debut in November or December this year in China. Well before the launch, tipster Digital Chat Station leaked the key details of the iQOO 12. Here is a look at what to expect from the device.

According to the tipster, the iQOO 12 will be equipped with a flat OLED panel that offers a 2K resolution and supports high-frequency dimming. However, he did not reveal the exact screen size, but claimed that it would feature a new display.

Under the hood, iQOO 12 will feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. For those who don’t know, Qualcomm will hold its next Tech Summit in October this year. It appears that the US-based chip market will unveil the SD8G3 at the said event.

The tipster further said that the device supports 100W charging and packs a large battery. The phone will come with 16 GB of what looks like LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

According to the tipster, there are multiple design options being considered for the rear camera arrangement of the iQOO 12. This suggests that the company has not yet made a final decision on the design. However, the tipster mentioned that one possibility is for the camera module to be positioned at the upper-left corner on the back of the phone. Additionally, it was revealed that the iQOO 12 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera.
