iQOO 13 tipped to arrive with ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 body, 3x periscope camera

According to reports, iQOO is developing the iQOO 13 smartphone for the Chinese market. This device will arrive as the successor to last year’s iQOO 12, which came equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Tipster Digital Chat Station has been consistently leaking details of the iQOO 13. In the latest leak, he has revealed details about its display, camera, security, and IP rating.

The DCS’ latest Weibo post suggests that the iQOO 13 will feature a flat OLED panel with 2K resolution. At present, there is no information available about its screen size. To recall, the iQOO 12 featured a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that produced a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The iQOO 13 will come equipped with a single-point in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an upgrade from the predecessor’s optical in-display fingerprint sensor. While the previous generation came with an IP64 rating, the IQOO 13’s chassis will have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

A periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom is rumored to be part of the iQOO 13’s rear camera setup. Currently, it’s unclear if the iQOO 13 will have the same periscope zoom camera as the iQOO 12.

The iQOO 13 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is expected to debut in October of this year. The tipster previously revealed that the device will offer up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. At present, there is no clarity about the battery charging and charging speed.

As far as the launcs concerned, the iQOO 13 may go official in November in China. Several reports h ihave claimed that iQOO will not launch the iQOO 13 Pro this year.
