A recent report claimed that iQOO may have shelved the idea of launching a compact flagship phone, tentatively called the iQOO 15 Mini. However, a new leak by tipster Smart Pikachu indicates that the device has not been cancelled. The tipster has not only revealed its launch timeframe, but also mentioned a few key specs.
iQOO 15 Mini key specifications (rumored)

According to the tipster, the iQOO 15 Mini will have a compact display, which according to previous leaks could be a 6.3-inch OLED 1.5K panel. While the iQOO 15 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the mini variant is said to feature the Dimensity 9500.
MediaTek-powered flagship phones arriving in the second quarter of 2026 are expected to feature the Dimensity 9500 Plus, an overclocked version of the existing D9500 SoC. Therefore, it will not be surprising if iQOO opts for D9500+ for the 15 Mini.
The tipster further added that the iQOO 15 Mini will draw power from a massive 7,000mAh battery. It will also come with other features, such as an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and a metal middle frame.
iQOO 15 Mini launch timeframe (rumored)
The tipster claims that the iQOO 15 Mini is tentatively scheduled to debut in April in China. Previous leaks claimed that the company is planning to launch the iQOO 15 Ultra and 15 Mini together. However, now that the 15 Mini is expected in April, it remains to be seen whether the Ultra launches earlier separately or with the compact offering in the said month.
The iQOO 15 Mini will compete with other compact phones, such as the Vivo X300s, Oppo Find X9s, OnePlus 15T and Honor Magic 7 Mini. Among these, only the OnePlus 15T is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chip.
