Apple has just launched the iPhone 17 series, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max powered by the new Apple A19 Pro chip, making it the company’s most powerful smartphone yet. Meanwhile, iQOO product manager Galant V took to Weibo to announce that the upcoming iQOO 15 is set to rival the iPhone 17 Pro Max as the industry’s most powerful phone. He revealed that the iQOO 15 will feature the largest 8K VC cooling system to date, designed to maximize performance from the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. According to leaks, the iQOO 15 is expected to feature a 6.85-inch Samsung OLED display with ultra-thin bezels. The panel, reportedly the same as the one used in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, may offer 2K resolution, a 144Hz LTPO refresh rate, and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness. It is also tipped to include anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coating for better durability and usability.
Powering the device will likely be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with iQOO’s self-developed Q3 chip for enhanced performance. A massive 7,000mAh battery is expected, with support for 100W wired fast charging as well as wireless charging. On the software side, it is said to ship with Android 16 layered with OriginOS 6.
Camera details remain unclear on the front, but the back is rumoured to sport a triple 50-megapixel setup, including a periscope telephoto lens for advanced zoom capabilities.
For heat management, the iQOO 15 is set to debut with the industry’s largest 8K vapor chamber cooling system, ensuring stable performance during heavy tasks. Additional features may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for security, Crystal Diamond Glass protection for the screen, a metal middle frame, a reinforced glass back, and IP68/69-rated water and dust resistance.
