iQOO will be announcing the iQOO 5 flagship series on Aug. 17. Recent reports have revealed that the series has two phones. One is the base model and the other one is high-end version. It is unclear whether the base model and high-end variant are named as iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro, respectively. However, it is known that the V2024A is the model number of the base model. Recently, it was spotted at 3C certification platform and at Geekbench 5. The 3C listing of the V2024A had revealed that it may come with a 55W charger. However, a new phone with V2025A model number has received certification with a 120W charger. It appears to the high-end iQOO 5 model.
The 3C appearance of the iQOO 5 reveals its 5G smartphone. The listing also mentions a V12060L0C0-CN charger that maxes out at 120W. The new charger is likely to ship with the iQOO 5’s top model.
So far, it is known that the iQOO 5 has an AMOLED panel with curved edges. It has a punch-hole at the upper-left corner. The display supports 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling rate.
The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform powers the iQOO 5. The handset is equipped with a LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The other specs of the phone have not been confirmed yet by the company.
Since the iQOO 5 variant with V2024A was spotted at Geekbench. It was revealed that it is Snapdragon 865 powered phone with 8 GB of RAM. This suggests that the top variant may feature 12 GB of RAM. A commercial released by the company revealed that it has a Vivo X50 Pro-like rear camera setup.
