With just less than a week away from the iQOO 8 series official launch event, leaks and rumors pertaining to the device inevitably become more prevalent – as with the case of any pretty much any other smartphones.
Today, new information coming from Weibo offers us heads-up on the iQOO 8 Pro’s pricing, which is said to be set at 5,299 Yuan (US$818) for it’s 8GB+256GB variant. Of course, we do expect to see more variants at launch, but the pricing for these models remain under the wraps at the moment.
Based on what we’d learned so far, the upcoming iQOO 8 Pro is expected to flaunt a central hole-punched, curved display which the company had previously confirmed to be a Samsung E5 LTPO panel. Adding on, earlier reports also claimed that the display offers an ultra-sharp 2K screen resolution as well as 10-bit color depth.
Most recently, iQOO also released a teaser revealing that the iQOO 8 Pro will also be featuring a triple-camera system that’s aided by a gimbal-style stabilization system just like what we saw on the Vivo X60 Pro (Review).
Furthermore, we also know that the main camera will be a 50 megapixels sensor which will be paired with a 48 megapixels ultra-wide lens. As for the third camera, it could well be a telephoto lens for zooming.
Under the hood, the iQOO 8 Pro is tipped to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 888+ mobile platform which is also present in the newly announced Xiaomi Mi Mix 4. Other than that, the phone also reportedly features a blazing-fast 120W wired charging support.
