iQOO 9 Pro is now the new king of AnTuTu

Another month had passed and AnTuTu is now back again with the list of top 10 best performing flagship phones for the month of October. This time round, we did see some notable changes to the list of top 10 flagship devices with new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered smartphones now dominating the top seven positions.

As usual, the data source of this ranking was culminated from AnTuTu Benchmark V9 from January 1st to 31st. It’s worth noting that the average score was calculated from more than 1,000 devices, and may continue to change as more devices are being benchmarked.

AnTuTu Top 10 Best Performing Flagship Phones for January 2022

For the month of January, the newly announced iQOO 9 Pro has finally toppled the Black Shark 4S Pro off the top position which the phone had been dominating for the past three months.

The iQOO 9 Pro is among the first Android smartphones to breach the one million mark on AnTuTu, thanks to it’s next-generation’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset along with an ample 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 flash storage.

According to AnTuTu, some of the key factors attributing to it’s exceptional performance lies within it’s highly efficient heat dissipation system and design, as well as the adoption of an independent display chip which significantly lessens the workload of the GPU.

Coming to the second position, we have yet another iQOO 9 series smartphone, the non-Pro iQOO 9. Looking at the chart, the score difference between the iQOO 9 Pro and the vanilla model differs by a thin margin of only 900 points. However, that shouldn’t be much of a surprise since both devices share largely similar specs afterall.

As for the third to tenth positions, they are dominated by the Realme GT2 Pro, OnePlus 10 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Motorola Edge X30, Xiaomi 12, Black Shark 4S Pro, Red Magic 6S Pro and iQOO 8 Pro respectively.

Due to the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Nubia Red Magic 7 series smartphones, there might be some changes to the list of top 10 best-performing smartphones for the month of February.
