In October 2024, MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Now, reports suggest that some of the forthcoming flagship phones in China will come equipped with the upcoming Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. While technical details of the new chip are not known, it is believed to be an overclocked version of the existing D9400. It seems that iQOO will be the first brand to launch a Dimensity 9400 Plus-powered smartphone.
In the above Weibo post, reliable leaker Digital Chat Station revealed that Realme, Redmi, and OnePlus are all planning to launch phones featuring the Dimensity 9400 Plus. These devices are expected to debut by mid-2025.
The monikers of these devices are not known, but these could be the Realme Neo 7 Pro, the Redmi K80 Ultra, and the OnePlus Ace 5s. Currently, all of these devices are equipped with a flat display that offers a 1.5K resolution, a metal middle frame, and a glass / fiberglass body.
These devices are also said to feature a capable primary camera supported by a large sensor and a battery capacity that could exceed 7,000mAh. While the Realme and Redmi phones are expected to include ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensors, the OnePlus device may come with a short-focus optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.?
In the comments section, the tipster has also hinted that iQOO will be the first brand to launch a Dimensity 9400 Plus-powered phone. This device is likely to be called the iQOO Neo 10S Pro.
Apart from these devices, the Oppo Find X8s and Vivo X200s are also expected to come equipped with the D9400+ chip.
