MediaTek is reportedly working on an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which went official in October 2024. The new chip, which is likely to be dubbed the Dimensity 9400 Plus, is expected to go official as early as March in China. Reports have revealed that the Vivo X200s and the Oppo Find X8s will come equipped with the Dimensity 9400 Plus. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, reveals that an upcoming iQOO smartphone will also feature the D9400+ chip.
iQOO Neo 10S could be in the works
According to the tipster, iQOO will unveil its Z10 series of smartphones in April in China. The Z10 Turbo is expected to feature a 1.5K OLED display, a Dimensity 8400, and a 7,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Z10 Turbo Pro is tipped to feature a 1.5K OLED screen, an upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite (SM8735) chip, and a 7,500mAh battery.
The leak further reveals that a Neo-series phone, which seems to be an incremental upgrade over the Neo 10 series announced in December 2024, is also in the works. This phone will have the Dimensity 9400 Plus onboard.
While the official moniker of the device is not known, it could be called the iQOO Neo 10S Pro. The leak suggests that the device will be equipped with an independent display chip and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
In related news, iQOO is also said to be working on the iQOO Neo 11 series of sub-flagship phones. The series is expected to launch after the iQOO 15 series, which is expected to break cover in October or November 2025. The Neo 11 may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, whereas the forthcoming Dimensity 9500 may power the Neo 11 Pro.
