iQOO Z7 and Z7x are all set to go official on March 20 in China. After that, the company may unveil the iQOO Neo 8 series of flagship phones in the second half of this year. The lineup may include two models, such as the iQOO Neo 8 and the Neo 8 Pro. Today, the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station went on Weibo to talk about the Pro model’s most important features.
According to the tipster, the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will feature a 1.5K resolution display, which appears to be an OLED panel. The soon-to-be-released Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset will power the device.
It is said that the D9200+-powered Neo 8 Pro will be capable of rivalling Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smartphones. The tipster added that the device will be equipped with a 50-megapixel 1/1.5-inch primary camera. A previous Weibo post by the tipster revealed that the Neo 8 Pro will be equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Rival brand Redmi unveiled the Redmi K60E, Redmi K60, and Redmi K60 Pro in China in December 2022. It is speculated that the brand is working on the Redmi K60 Ultra and is planning to launch it in the third quarter of this year.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is expected to come equipped with a 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a Dimensity 9200 chipset, and 100W charging. The iQOO Neo 8 Pro is also expected to rival the K60 Ultra.
