iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ may feature ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor

OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will debut on June 27 in China. The device is expected to face competition from two other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones in the coming weeks. These include the iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ and the Realme GT 6. According to several reports, the Neo 9S Pro+, in addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, will have the same internals as the iQOO Neo 9 Pro (China variant), which made its announcement in December last year. However, a new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that there will be another important upgrade to the device.

According to a Weibo post by DCS, iQOO’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone launching next month has a single-point ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. He seems to be talking about the Neo 9S Pro+, which is rumored to launch in July. He indicated in the comments section that the device will feature Goodix’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

To recall, the original iQOO Neo 9S Pro featured an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor. The tipster added that while the Neo 9S Pro+ will have an upgraded fingerprint sensor, its display will have no upgrade. The rest of the specs of the Pro+ are likely to be the same as those of the Neo 9S Pro.

The Neo 9S Pro+ may feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO screen with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,160mAh battery with 120W fast charging. It has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultrawide) dual-camera system.
