iQOO is preparing to unveil the Neo 9S Pro series, a progression from the previously launched Neo 9 lineup in December 2023. These new smartphones are expected to bring iterative improvements, building upon the foundation laid by their predecessors.
As can be seen above, iQOO has confirmed that the Neo 9S Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset, an iteration of the Dimensity 9300 found in the previous generation. Additionally, a Chinese leaker has revealed that iQOO will introduce another variant, the Neo 9S Pro+, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, providing consumers with a range of options to suit their preferences.
In the competitive smartphone market, the Neo 9S Pro series is poised to compete with flagship offerings from rival brands like Redmi, OnePlus, and Realme. Notable competitors include the Redmi K70 Ultra, anticipated to feature the Dimensity 9300+, and the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, rumored to boast the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. While details regarding the Realme GT 6’s chipset remain unclear, iQOO is positioning itself to compete assertively in this space.
Despite differences in chipsets, it is speculated that the Neo 9S Pro and Neo 9S Pro+ will share similar specifications with their predecessors, the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. This suggests that consumers can expect features such as high-resolution displays, versatile camera systems, and fast-charging capabilities.
Anticipation is mounting for the release of the Neo 9S Pro series, especially as Vivo, iQOO’s parent brand, prepares to launch its Vivo X100s series on May 13 in China. This timing suggests that the Neo 9S Pro’s debut is likely to follow shortly thereafter.
