A new Vivo smartphone with V2118A was recently spotted at China’s 3C certification platform and Google Play Console recently. Today, popular tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that this phone will be debuting with the iQOO Neo5 Youth (Vitality) Edition moniker in May in the home market.
The new Weibo post by the Chinese leakster states that the iQOO Neo5 Youth (Vitality) Edition features an LCD panel that supports a high refresh rate, and it is powered by the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform. The tipster had claimed in the previous week that it will be arriving as an upgraded version of last year’s iQOO Neo3.
The 3C certification of the iQOO Neo5 Youth (Vitality) Edition revealed that it is a 5G-ready smartphone, and it may come with support for 44W rapid charging. The Google Play Console listing of the phone not only revealed its key specs, but also its front design.
It was found that the iQOO Neo5 Youth (Vitality) Edition has a punch-hole positioned at the upper-right corner. The right edge of the device was found to be flanked with a volume rocker and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Google Play Console listing further revealed that the V2118A iQOO phone supports FHD+ resolution and a 480ppi pixel density. It is unclear whether the device supports a 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 870 will be fueling the device with 8 GB of RAM. It will ship with Android 11 OS, which will be overlaid with iQOO UI.
The other specifications of the iQOO Neo5 Youth (Vitality) Edition are under wraps. The handset is likely to appear with major specs at TENAA before its official announcement.
