As scheduled, iQOO has announced the brand new iQOO Neo5S during an official launch event held in the Chinese market. This model comes with a slightly buffed up specs over the iQOO Neo5 that was launched at the beginning of the year.
On the outside, the iQOO Neo5S does shares a close resemblance to the iQOO Neo5. It comes with a 6.62” centered hole-punch AMOLED display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an impressive 300Hz touch sampling rate. Other than that, it also features an in-display fingerprint scanner as well as a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Coming to the rear side of the phone, it retains a rectangular camera bump which houses a triple-camera setup lead by a 48 megapixels main camera. This will be aided by a 13 megapixels ultra-wide unit and a 2 megapixels macro camera to help with close-up shots.
Unlike the iQOO Neo5 that’s powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset, the Neo5S is equipped with an upgraded Snapdragon 888 chipset along with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a 4,500mAh (dual-cell) battery with 66W fast-charging support. Software-wise, it will be shipped with OriginOS Ocean based on Android 11 out of the box.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from a trio of colors namely Black, Blue and Orange. In the Chinese market, the iQOO Neo5 will be priced at 2,699 Yuan (US$423), 2,899 Yuan (US$455) and 3,199 Yuan (US$502) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB trims.
