iQOO Z1 goes official with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC, 48MP Triple-cameras & 44W Super FlashCharge

After launching the iQOO 3 and iQOO Neo3 earlier this year, the company is now back with another powerful gaming-centric smartphone – iQOO Z1. As we all know, the iQOO Z1 will be the first smartphone in the world to be equipped with the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC.

iQOO Z1 Specifications

For starter, the iQOO Z1 features a 6.57-inches FHD+ LCD panel which comes with support for HDR10 as well as an incredibly smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate. The front panel utilizes a hole-punch design to accommodate its 16 megapixels selfie camera.

Over at the back, the iQOO Z1 shares a pretty similar design language as the current iQOO Neo3. Its rectangular camera module at the back is home to a total of 3 cameras and a LED flash. These cameras include a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.

In the memory compartment, the device has up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and as much as 256GB UFS2.1 flash storage. It is obvious that the company has avoided using the latest LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage technologies in order to keep its pricing competitive.

In terms of connectivity, the iQOO Z1 is able to support the latest 5G network in both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Similar to the iQOO Neo3, the device is also fitted with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

At the helm, the iQOO Z1 is fueled by a generous 4,500mAh battery which carries support for 44W Super FlashCharge. According to iQOO, a mere 23 minutes charge will be able to bring the device from 0 to 50%. On the software-side, the device will run on the company’s proprietary iQOO UI based on Android 10 OS.

iQOO Z1 Pricing

Coming to its pricing, the iQOO Z1 will be priced at 2,198 Yuan (US$309), 2,498 Yuan (US$351) and 2,798 Yuan (US$394) respectively for its 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models.
