The iQOO Z1 smartphone is scheduled to go official on May 19. It will be debuting as the world’s first smartphone powered by the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. Ahead of the launch, the iQOO Z1 is now listed on Jingdong Mall for reservations. A snapshot that reveals the pricing of the iQOO Z1 has appeared on Weibo.
The reservations page of the iQOO Z1 does not contain any information on the specifications of the phone. It just mentions that the sale of the device will begin on May 19 after it gets unveiled.
The iQOO Neo3 that was announced last month in China was introduced with a starting price of 2,698 Yuan ($380). The Neo3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Except for Huawei and Honor phones, all the Android flagship phones that have launched so far this year are equipped with Snapdragon 865. The Dimensity 1000+ powered iQOO Z1 is expected to be priced lower than the SD865 phone.
The authenticity of the above-shown image that reveals the pricing of the iQOO Z1 could not be verified. Hence, it is advisable to take the leak with a grain of salt. The snapshot reveals that the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage will be priced at 2,498 Yuan ($352). If the rumor turns out to be true, the handset could bag the title of the cheapest 5G-ready flagship phone.
Past reports have revealed that the iQOO Z1 has a model number of V1986A. It has a punch-hole LCD display that supports up to 144Hz refresh rate. The handset has a side-facing fingerprint scanner and it is expected to arrive with a 44W fast charger.
