Last year, iQOO launched the iQOO Z5 series of smartphones in China and India. It has already launched the iQOO Z6, Z6 Pro, and Z6 44W in India. New information reveals that the company is planning to launch a new Z-series phone in the home market. Well, this model will not be called the iQOO Z7. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the company plans to launch an iQOO Z5 series phone in China. Because the company already sells the iQOO Z5 5G and Z5x in China, this device could be dubbed the iQOO Z5 Pro 5G.
According to the tipster, the iQOO Z5 will feature a 6.58-inch LCD panel, which will probably support a Full HD+ resolution. This in turn indicates that it may come with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
One of the major highlights of this phone is that it packs a humungous 6,000mAh battery. The tipster claims that it will carry support for 44W fast charging. Thanks to the huge battery inside, the device will measure 9.21mm in thickness.
A Vivo phone with model number V2188A was spotted at the TENAA certification site last month. The listing revealed that it has a 6.58-inch display, 5,880 mAh (rate value), and Android 12 OS. The 3C certification of the device revealed that it may carry support for 44W fast charging. So, it looks like the V2188A model will be a new iQOO Z5 series phone when it comes out in China.
The TENAA listing of the iQOO V2188A is expected to be updated soon with its other details. The handset may launch as early as this month or in June in China.
