A recent report revealed that iQOO is working on a Z-series phone for the Indian market, which may debut this month. It also said that the phone will have a Snapdragon 4-series chipset that is ready for 5G.Rumors are rife that this device could be the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G. Now, tipster Mukul Sharma has sent out a new tweet with key details about the phone.
The rumor mill has been speculating that the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G could be equipped with the Snapdragon 480 or the Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset. However, the new tweet by Sharma reveals that the Z6 Lite 5G will be the first-ever phone to house a new 5G-enabled Snapdragon 4-series chipset.
He further revealed that the iQOO Z6 Lite 6G will be equipped with a 120Hz display and will run on the Android 12 OS. To keep the lights on, it will feature a 5,000mAh battery.
The device will be equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera. The leak has no information on its auxiliary cameras or the selfie camera.
The iQOO Z6 5G, which debuted in March this year in India, has a starting price of Rs 15,999 (~$201). It features the Snapdragon 695. As far as the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G is concerned, it is expected to arrive with a sub-Rs 15,000 (~$189) price tag.
The brand is also said to be working on the iQOO Z6 Pro SE for the Indian market. However, at present, there is no information on its specifications. The China division of the company has recently launched the iQOO Z6 and Z6x phones in the home market. The company is likely to launch the iQOO Neo 7 flagship phone in October in China.
