iQOO Z6 to Arrive with Snapdragon 778G Plus

iQOO will be announcing the iQOO Z6 series of smartphones on Aug. 25 in China. Yesterday, the company revealed the design of the iQOO Z6 and confirmed that it will carry support for 80W fast charging. Today, it revealed the name of the processor that will power the IQOO Z6.

The iQOO Z6 will be featuring the Snapdragon 778G Plus, which is an enhanced version of the existing Snapdragon 778G SoC. Like flagship phones, the Z6 will come equipped with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It will have an ice-cooled 6-layer liquid-cooling technology for heat dissipation.

Speaking of RAM and storage, a recent leak revealed that the device will come in configurations like 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The device’s premature appearance in the product library of China Telecom revealed that its base model may cost 1,899 Yuan ($277).

The iQOO Z6 is said to arrive with a 6.64-inch LCD display, which will offer an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For security, it will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It may feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and its back panel will have an OIS-64-megapixel main camera, which could be accompanied by a pair of 2-megapixel cameras for depth and macro shots. In related news, iQOO will also be unveiling the iQOO Z6x alongside the iQOO Z6. The company has confirmed that it will feature a 6,000mAh battery. Rumors surrounding the device claim that it could be a rebadged version of the Vivo T2x, which features a 144Hz FHD+ LCD display, a Dimensity 1300 chipset, 6 GB / GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, a 16-megapixel front camera, and 50-megapixel dual rear cameras.
