iQOO is reportedly gearing up to unveil the iQOO Z9 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. The last year’s lineup included two models, such as the iQOO Z8 and the iQOO Z8x. In the latest leak, the tipster Digital Chat Station seems to be talking about the successors of these phones, which appear to be the iQOO Z9 and Z9x. The leaker has shared information on the display resolution and battery size of both phones.
Without specifying the names of the devices, the tipster claimed that both will feature a 1.5K resolution supporting display and a 6,000mAh battery. Probably, these could be the only major upgrades on the iQOO Z9 and Z9x.
As per DCS’ leak from yesterday, the Z9 will have an OLED panel. It remains to be seen whether the company also offers an OLED screen on the Z9x. Here is a look at the specifications of the iQOO Z8 and Z8x.
The iQOO Z8 and Z8x came equipped with a 6.64-inch LCD panel that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The two phones feature the Dimensity 8200 and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. The Z8 ships with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, whereas the Z8x ships with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
The Z8 and Z8x have a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, respectively. The Z9 has a 64-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging, whereas the Z8x has a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W charging.
Coming back to the iQOO Z9 series, it appears that the Z9 and Z9x may debut together in March in China.
