iQOO Z9 Turbo goes on pre-sale ahead of its April 24 launch

iQOO Z9 Turbo is launching on April 24 in China. Vivo’s gaming sub-brand has scheduled a live event at 7pm local time to unveil its latest flagship killer.  The phone’s pre-order is already live, even before its official release. Enthusiasts can secure a unit without any deposit and stand a chance to win free goodies, including speakers and bags.

Pre-orders can be made from Vivo China’s official online store and other Chinese e-commerce platforms, such as JD Mall, Tmall, and Pinduoduo. The first pre-sale is scheduled for April 24, after the launch event. The pre-order poster essentially validates the iQOO Z9 Turbo’s overall design. Only the rear panel with the massive camera module was revealed.

The new poster provides the first look at the Z9 Turbo’s display. It has a flat display that confirms the leaks. Likewise, there is a center-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The over bezels are also slim and the device seems to be equipped with a plastic frame. The other poster confirms that the Z9 Turbo has recorded a score on 1,764,028 points on AnTuTu.

iQOO Z9 Turbo specifications

iQOO has kept many of the phone’s technical specifications a secret, revealing only a handful of details. The brand has confirmed that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It will also feature a 6K VC cooling system. iQOO has also shared a benchmark result, which shows that the phone scored 1764K points. This will be joined by an independent graphics engine called Turbo. All this will be fueled by a 6,000mAh battery.

Previous leaks have pointed to the iQOO Z9 Turbo having a 6.78-inch flat OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. It will be available with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It will also support 80W wired fast charging.

Leaks also point to a dual-camera setup: a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The selfie camera will have a 16-megapixel sensor.
