iQOO has officially confirmed through its Weibo account that it will announce the iQOO Z9 Turbo+ smartphone later this month in China. Ahead of the launch, the device is now up for reservations through various platforms, such as Vivo China’s website, JD.com, Tmall, and so on. The brand has released the following image to give a first look at the Z9 Turbo+’s design.
iQOO Z9 Turbo+ design, key specifications
The iQOO Z9 Turbo Plus’ image reveals its appearance is almost identical to the iQOO Z9 Turbo, which went official with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, in April this year in China. On the front, the device features a flat OLED panel, whereas there’s a squircle camera module on the back equipped with dual cameras. The device’s back panel also features a vertical LED flash unit and the iQOO branding.
The iQOO Z9 Turbo+ is expected to borrow most of its specifications from the Z9 Turbo. However, the Plus variant is expected to feature a different chipset and a larger battery than the 6,000mAh unit that powers the Turbo model. Speculations are rife that the Z9 Turbo+ will have the Dimensity 9300 Plus chip onboard.
As per reports, the iQOO Z9 Turbo+ will have a 6.78-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. We expect it to run on OriginOS 4-based Android 14.
According to reports, the iQOO Z9 Turbo+, bearing the V2408A model number, has already achieved 3C certification. The listing revealed that the device may arrive with support for 80W rapid charging. On the front, it may feature a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Its rear camera system is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
