iQOO unveiled the iQOO Z9 Turbo, equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, as its most powerful Z-series phone in China in April. New leaks reveal that the brand is working on a new variant of the smartphone featuring a MediaTek chipset. Here is a look at the details that have surfaced so far about the device.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, iQOO will soon launch a phone named the iQOO Z9 Turbo Plus in the Chinese market. However, the leaker did not mention anything else about the smartphone.
On the other hand, another tipster claimed that the iQOO Z9 Turbo+ will feature the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. The company previously used the same chip to power the iQOO Neo 9S Pro, which debuted last month in China.
The iQOO Z9 Turbo has a starting price of 1,999 Yuan ($275) in China, whereas the Neo 9S Pro starts at 2,999 Yuan ($415). Being a Z-series phone, the Z9 Turbo+ is likely to be priced around 2,000 Yuan in the Chinese market. As far as other specs of the Turbo+ is concerned, it is likely that newer leaks may reveal more about it in the coming days.
To recall, the iQOO Z9 Turbo features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 16-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera system on the back, and runs on Android 14 with a layer of OriginOS 4 on top.
