According to DCS, iQOO’s upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 phone will be called the iQOO Z9 Turbo when it breaks cover. While the leaker did not reveal anything else about the device, he seems to have already leaked plenty of details in some of his previous Weibo posts.

It can be said based on past reports that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will have a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel equipped with 8T LTPO technology. The screen will offer a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is expected to run on OriginOS 4-based Android 14.

The IQOO Z9 Turbo is expected to ship with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. There is no word on the battery size of the device yet, but it is speculated to support 120W fast charging. For photography, the device is said to feature a 50-megapixel dual-camera system.

The iQOO Z9 and Z9x, which are expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, respectively, are said to debut in April in China. It remains to be seen whether the Turbo edition also launch alongside the Z9 duo. In China, the Z9 Turbo is expected to rival the upcoming phones, such as the Redmi Note 13 Turbo and the Realme GT Neo 6.
