Earlier today, a series of leaked images of a mysterious Nokia smartphone had been circulated around the web, sparking speculations that it could be the upcoming Nokia 1 handset which runs on Android Go.
Sad to say, only the rear chassis of the device was revealed in the live shot, showing off a minimalist design. As seen in the image above, its back panel seems to be built with polycarbonate material which helps to drive its manufacturing cost down – giving the device an affordable price tag of around $95.
According to rumors, the Nokia 1 is expected to come with a 720p IPS display, 1GB of RAM, as well as 8GB internal storage space similar to the current Nokia 2 smartphone. The same Snapdragon 212 SoC found in the Nokia 2 should probably be used to power the upcoming Nokia 1 as well.
Although not confirmed, but rumors have it that the device could be unveiled somewhere in March this year.
