Lenovo has been teasing the arrival of the Lenovo Legion gaming phone since December 2019. In February, it confirmed that the Legion gaming phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Rumors suggest that the Lenovo will launch the Legion gaming phone. Ahead of the launch, the gaming smartphone has been found listed on Geekbench.
The Lenovo Legion gaming phone has Lenovo L79031 model number. Recently, the smartphone was spotted at the database of China’s 3C certification platform. The listing revealed that the phone may ship with a 45W charger.
The same model has appeared on Geekbench 5. The SD865 powered phone has scored 914 in the single-core test and it recorded a multi-core score of 3370. The handset boots to Android 10 OS. Rumors have revealed that the OS will be heavily customized with Lenovo’s Legion UI designed for gaming.
The SD865 processor is mentioned with its Kona codenamed on the Geekbench 5 listing of L79031. The listing also mentions that the phone has 8 GB of RAM. It is likely that the Chinese firm may sell the phone with up to 16 GB of RAM.
Past reports have revealed that the Lenovo Legion gaming phone has a notch-less Full HD+ OLED screen that supports 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and 270Hz touch sampling rate.
It is said to have a 20-megapixel side-mounted pop-up camera and a 64-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual camera setup. Its other rumored features include LPPDR5, USB 3.0, dual USB ports, stereo speakers, X-axis liner motor, advanced liquid cooling technology, 4,000mAh battery, and support for 90W fast charging.
