Lenovo has been teasing the arrival of its Legion gaming phone since December 2019. Recent reports have claimed that the gaming smartphone may go official in this month in China. Fresh information suggests that it could be the first phone to be fueled by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform.
The General Manager of Lenovo’s smartphone division in China, Chen Jin released an email to reveal some information on the Legion gaming phone. The email states that it is an extreme gaming smartphone designed to offer the ultimate experience.
Rumors surrounding the Lenovo Legion gaming phone have claimed that it is codenamed as “moba.” In the email, Chen mentioned that the moba device has already achieved industry leadership in architecture and has achieved first-class performance on 90W fast charging. However, in order to provide users with a performance-driven flagship phone with the ultimate gaming experience, the company is said to be prepping another “moba Pro” device.
The moba Pro could be a more advanced version of the Lenovo Legion gaming phone. While the mail does not clearly mention it, there is a possibility that this phone could be the first Snapdragon 865+ powered device.
The Lenovo Legion gaming phone was recently certified by the 3C authority of China. It revealed that the phone may ship with a 45W fast charger. Rumors have that the Lenovo Legion gaming phone will have a Full HD+ OLED screen with up to 144Hz refresh rate, 20-megapixel side-facing pop-up selfie camera, 64-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual camera, dual USB ports, stereo speakers, USB 3.0, LPDDR5, advanced liquid cooling technology, 4,000mAh battery, and X-axis linear motor.
