Lenovo has officially confirmed that the company’s upcoming Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone will be announced on July 22nd. Coincidentally, the launch date of the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 3 will fall on the same day as well.
Just like the Asus ROG Phone 3, the Lenovo Legion will be among the first in the world to debut with the latest Snapdragon 865+ platform which is able to deliver 10% increased CPU performance and 10% faster graphic renderings. This allowed the device to achieve an impressive overall score of 648,871 points on AnTuTu benchmark.
Based on the promotional materials leaked previously, we’d already learned that the new Legion smartphone sports an incredibly high screen-to-body ratio with minimal bezel along its sides. The device will feature an unblemished front display courtesy of its unusual 20 megapixels side-mounted pop-up selfie camera.
The front panel is said to be a FHD+ front display which supports a buttery-smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate and 270Hz touch sampling rate. It is likely to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.
Over at the back, the device also features a dual-camera setup which is located near the center of the back panel. Its rear cameras are expected to include a 64 megapixels main shooter which will be assisted by a 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens.
Courtesy of its insane 90W USB-C fast-charging support, the device’s 5,000mAh battery could be refueled from 0 to 100% within a short span of just 30 minutes. This will be accompanied with a revolutionary cooling technology and dual-Stereo speakers.
