LG Electronics (LG) is launching the world’s first 5K2K (5120×2160) OLED gaming monitor, the LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor GX9 (model 45GX950A), worldwide.1The monitor will be available in the Singapore market for purchase starting from November at LG Official Brand Store online and all authorised retailers islandwide.
The LG UltraGear OLED GX9 offers a 45-inch 5K2K (5120×2160) resolution with a 21:9 aspect ratio, offering 50 percent more screen space for gaming than a 49-inch 32:9 DQHD. Compared to LG’s 45-inch WQHD (3440×1440) OLED gaming monitor from last year, it features an enhanced 125 PPI for better text readability.
One of the standout features of the GX9 is its VESA Certified Dual-Mode with eight selectable options, allowing users to seamlessly adjust settings for an optimal gaming experience across various genres and requirements. The 5K2K resolution enables smooth switching between WUHD 165Hz for graphically rich games and WFHD 330Hz for fast-paced action, with the screen size adjusting from 34″ WFHD to 24″ FHD and supporting both 21:9 and 16:9 aspect ratios. Users can easily switch between Dual-Mode options using a physical hotkey or a keyboard shortcut via the LG Switch app.
The GX9’s rapid and seamless performance gives users a competitive edge in gaming. With a 0.03ms (GtG) response time, it minimizes ghosting for crisp visuals. The monitor delivers ultra-smooth, tear-free visuals and low latency with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA-validated G-SYNC compatibility and VESA AdaptiveSync certification, providing gaming precision and fluidity for PC gamers playing demanding AAA titles.

The 5K2K UltraGear OLED GX9 gaming monitor features advanced eye comfort technologies, including Flicker Free Display, Discomfort Glare Free and Low Blue Light, all verified by UL. Additionally, the application of LG’s Anti-Glare & Low Reflection (AGLR) Coating provides a more comfortable gaming experience in brighter rooms.
To help users make the switch to an OLED monitor, they can now customize their gaming setup and activate the ‘OLED Image Cleaning’ feature on the gamer-friendly OSD (On-Screen Display) menu to prevent image retention.
