LG G8X ThinQ has gone official at the IFA 2019 tech trade show in Berlin, Germany. It has arrived as an upgraded version of the LG G8 ThinQ that had gone official earlier this year. It has arrived with updated specs and it is also the first LG smartphone with in-display fingerprint reader. Also, the company has also announced updated edition of DualScreen accessory.
LG G8X ThinQ Specifications and Features
The LG G8X ThinQ that has IP68 and MIL-STD 810G body and it houses a 6.4-inch OLED display with in-screen fingerprint reader. The display that has a waterdrop notch supports full HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 855 chipset and 6 GB of RAM powers the phone. It has 128 GB of storage and a microSD card slot.
The rear shell of the phone has a 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel dual camera setup and it has a front camera of 32-megapixel. It has a 4,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The LG UX 9.0 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device.
The DualScreen accessory has a 6.4-inch OLED display with waterdrop notch. It lacks a battery and receives power from the paired G8X ThinQ. The second screen can be used a gamepad controller or an on-screen keyboard.
LG has not confirmed the pricing of G8X ThinQ and DualScreen accessory. The G8X ThinQ will be selling in South Korea as V50S ThinQ.
