Since the past few years LG has been using the Mobile World Congress (MWC) platform to announce its new flagship phone. Recent leaks have revealed that the LG G7 will not be launching at MWC 2018, but the company will be showing an AI driven variant of the LG V30 called V30s. Fresh information suggests that LG is planning to launch its new flagship in June.
According to Venture Beat, LG’s upcoming flagship is codenamed as Judy. There is a possibility that it may not launch with LG G7 moniker. It is speculated to feature a 6.1-inch display that will support 18:9 aspect ratio. The MLCD+ technology will allow the display to deliver 800-nit brightness and still consume 35 percent less power than the conventional LCD screen.
The Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM will be powering the handset. Its rear may house AI technology equipped pair of 16-megapixel camera with f/1.6 aperture. It may feature an internal storage of 64 GB. The LG Judy is expected to arrive in an IP68 certified body and it is likely to come with features like stereo speakers, voice recognition, wireless charging, HDR support and digital assistant. As of this writing, there is no information available on its specifications.
