LG has begun rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to their 2012 flagship – LG Optimus 4X HD. However, the update will not be coming over-the-air, so you will need to have the LG’s Software Update Tool installed on your PC in order to manually download the Jelly Bean update file onto your device. Although the full changelog for the update isn’t available yet, but it will definitely bring a new customizable lock screen, new notifications field, Project Butter and some other new features to the Optimus 4X HD.
If this update doesn’t work for your Optimus 4X HD, chances are that your device is tied to your carrier – which have to wait a little longer for the update, since the first batch is meant for unlocked version only. Tell us more about the update after you’ve installed it on your device!
