Yesterday, LG just dropped us a surprise by revealing some of the key specs of the upcoming LG Velvet smartphone along with its official renders. That happened even though we are still more than a week away from its official launch date.
Shortly after that, real life images of the LG Velvet has made its way to Twitter (via @Boby25846908) as well. The images depict the Black and White variants of the device, showing off its signature “raindrop” triple-camera array on its back panel which will house a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 5 megapixels depth sensor.
From the images, it is also obvious that the device will be featuring a dual-curved, glass back. In fact, the front display will also has a dual-curved design which curves towards the back panel. This fancy design is coined as “3D arc design” according to LG. Back to the specifics, the front panel has a 6.8-inches Cinema FullVision AMOLED display which offers an impressive 20.5:9 tall screen aspect ratio. A selfie camera is also present within the dewdrop-notch of the front panel as well.
Under the hood, the LG Velvet will be driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC which will bring 5G connectivity to the device. Top keep its lights on, there is a respectable 4,300mAh battery which is capable of supporting 10W wireless charging according to its Wireless Power Consortium listing.
