Meizu 16X Images Surface on TENAA

Soon after the launch of the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus smartphones earlier in this month, Meizu founder and CEO Jack Wong had confirmed that the company would be launching the Meizu 16X in September. Today, a new smartphone with a model number of M872Q has surfaced with its images on TENAA, China’s regulatory body. The M882Q and M892Q Meizu phones had respectively arrived as Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus. Hence, the new M872Q could be hitting the market as the Meizu 16X.

The Meizu 16X specifications are still under the wraps as the TENAA listing contains images of the phone. Meizu CEO has already confirmed that the Meizu 16X will be featuring Super AMOLED screen and in-display fingerprint scanner like the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus. However, instead of the Snapdragon 845, the Meizu 16X will be equipped with Snapdragon 710.

The TENAA images of the Meizu 16X shows that it features a dual camera setup on its rear followed by a ring flash. Wong has revealed that features 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup. The front panel of the phone features a notch-less screen. Neither at its front nor at its rear, it features a fingerprint sensor. Wong has also confirmed that the 16X would be priced between 2,000 Yuan and 2,500 Yuan. As of this writing, there is no information on the exact launch date of the smartphone.
