In November 2023, the Meizu 21 smartphone was unveiled in Chian with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip onboard. However, the Meizu 21 Pro wasn’t announced alongside it. Earlier this week, the Pro variant was spotted at the 3C certification platform, which hinted that its launch could be drawing near. However, a Chinese leaker has now asserted that the Meizu 21 Pro will debut by the end of February. The leaker also shared a few more key details about the device.
As per the leaker, the Meizu 21 Pro will offer users up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. In comparison, the Meizu 21 maxes out at 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The leaker also revealed that the rear camera module of the phone will have a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The Meizu 21 Pro is expected to rival the likes of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, Realme GT 5 Pro, and iQOO 12 Pro in the Chinese market. It is speculated that the Meizu 21 Pro will pack a 5,020mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The device is expected to run on the Flyme-based Android 14 OS.
The display size of the Meizu 21 Pro is not known yet. However, it is expected to come with support for a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The leaker has claimed that the device will have a large ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the Meizu 21 Pro will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset along with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. At present, there is no word on the price of the device. It is likely that the device could be priced at 4,000 Yuan ($380) in China.
