Recently, Meizu did an overhaul of its management structure and the changes are expected to change the fortunes of the company. Meizu Blue Charm has not been doing badly, recently Li Nan, senior vice president of Meizu Technology said that the Blue Charm division has unleashed over 50 million units from its lineup since its inception four years ago. Now, it has released another smartphone, Meizu M6T which is expected to do well in the market considering its specs and price. It comes with Meizu’s Super mBack full-screen gesture interaction that retains the classic mBlack functions.
The Meizu M6T is a full-screen smartphone which uses a colorful polycarbonate body and it is available in champagne gold, black stone, and coral red. It is equipped with a 2.5D 5.7-inch screen which has a 1440 x 720 display resolution. This smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core SoC and a Mali-T860 GPU coupled with 3+32GB, 4+32GB, and 4+64GB configurations. In the camera department, we have a 13MP (PDAF) + 2MP (autofocus) dual-camera on the rear which supports portrait background blur mode while the selfie snapper is an 8MP shooter which comes with ArcSoft beauty algorithm, adaptive skin technology, Face AE automatic face recognition, and brightness enhancement features. Most of Meizu’s smartphones favour a side fingerprint sensor but the Meizu M6T has broken that jinx by becoming the first Meizu device to use a rear fingerprint sensor.
This smartphone which has a dimension of 152.3 x 73.8.4 mm and it weighs 145g runs on Flyme 6 based on Android 7.1 and its lights are kept on by a 3300mAh battery which supports 5V/1.5A charging. In terms of pricing, the Meizu M6T will commence sales on June 1 with a 799 Yuan ($125) price tag for the 3+32GB variant, the 4+32GB model costs 999 Yuan ($156) while the 4+64GB configuration will sell for 1099 Yuan ($173).
