The Meizu Note 16 series brings a fresh design, moving away from previous models. Promotional images reveal an octagonal rear camera module, dubbed the “Oreo” design, with a circular LED flash at the centre.

The device features flat edges, giving it a more premium look, and a new button on the side, which is speculated to be a dedicated AI key. The brand is emphasizing durability, suggesting the phone is built to withstand drops and rough use.

The phone is expected to feature a white colour variant with a glossy finish, enhancing its overall aesthetics. Based on previous leaks, the device may include an AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, ensuring a smooth user experience. While the chipset remains unconfirmed, reports indicate that Meizu could equip the Note 16 series with a mid-range processor optimized for AI tasks.

Alongside the Note 16 series, Meizu has confirmed that its flagship Meizu 22 series will arrive later in the year, likely between June and August. The Meizu 22 is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite or a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8 platform, making it a direct competitor to premium smartphones. Expected upgrades include an ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a high-capacity battery, and improved car connectivity features.
