Recent reports have also claimed that Huawei too be launching an Android Go phone soon. Fresh information revealed by Android Headlines states that Meizu will be also launching an Android Go phone.
Meizu is currently focused in China. The Android Go phone by Meizu may allow it to enter other developing markets like India or important markets like the Europe. As of this writing, there is no information available on the specifications of the smartphone. Since Android Go phones do not feature flagship specs, it can be at least assumed that the Meizu’s Android Go phone will be packed with mid-range or low-end specs.
Android Go, a lighter version of the Android OS can work on phones with up to 512 MB of RAM. However, all the Android Go phones that have launched so far include 1 GB of RAM. The company has also confirmed to the publication that it won’t consider penetrating the U.S. market while President Trump is ruling the country.
