After months of hiatus, Taiwanese tech giant HTC is finally back with the brand new HTC Desire 22 Pro smartphone in the global market where the phone commands a starting price of €459 ($483).
The main highlight of the new HTC Desire 22 Pro lies in it’s support for the company’s own Viverse ecosystem and VR products such as the best-selling VIVE Flow headset. That basically means users can easily access virtual contents from Metaverse directly through the phone as well as a connected HTC VR headset.
In terms of specs, the HTC Desire 22 Pro features a 6.6” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, it has a 32MP front-facing camera tucked into the upper-left corner of the screen.
Flipping the phone over, the HTC Desire 22 Pro greets us with an oval-shaped camera module which houses a trio of cameras including a 64 megapixels main camera, 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 5 megapixels depth sensing unit.
The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 5G chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Keeping it’s lights on will be a respectable 4,520mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
Other than that, the HTC Desire 22 Pro will also be shipped with Android 12 OS out of the box and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Those who’re interested can pick the phone in both Black and Gold colorways.
