Recently, an upcoming Micromax smartphone dubbed as the Micromax In 2C was spotted on Geekbench with an octa-core Unisoc T610 chipset. Now, another entry-level smartphone, Micromax In 2B, had also appeared on Geekbench with the same chipset along with 4GB RAM.
For those who may not know, the Unisoc T610 chipset comprises of two 1.80 GHz Arm Cortex-A75 and six 1.80 GHz Arm Cortex-A55 processing cores that are paired with a Mali G52 MP2 GPU.
Based on it’s moniker, the Micromax In 2B appears to be the successor for last year’s Micromax In 1B which was powered by an octa-core MediaTek G35 chipset. The utilization of the Unisoc T610 seems more like a sidegrade rather than an upgrade or downgrade since both chips offer comparable performance and are fabricated under a 12nm process.
At the moment, there still isn’t any information pertaining to the launch date of the Micromax In 1B and In 1C. However, the duo are likely to debut in July next month considering their appearance on Geekbench.
