Moto Edge X30 flagship phone is scheduled to launch on Dec. 9 in China. Ahead of the launch, the company is busy confirming some of the key features of the smartphone. Yesterday, it confirmed the battery and charging capabilities of the phone through its Weibo handle. Today, it shared camera configurations of the Edge X30.
Motorola confirmed that the Edge X30 will feature a 60-megapixel selfie camera, an industry first to offer such a high megapixel sensor for snapping selfies. The back panel of the device will feature a pair of 50-megapixel cameras. Leaks surrounding the phone have claimed that the rear camera setup may include a 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit.
The Edge X30 flagship will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery, which will carry support for 68W fast charging. Last week, the company revealed that its display supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, and HDR10+.
Motorola Edge X30 Specifications (Rumored)
The Edge X30 has a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ 144Hz display. It is expected to launch as the world’s first phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The handset is likely to ship with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will run on My UI 3.0 flavored Android 11. For security, it will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
While the smartphone is set to launch on Dec. 9 in China, it is scheduled to go on sale on Dec. 15 in the home market. Rumors have it that the device will be hitting the global markets with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra moniker by mid-January.
