On Dec. 9, Motorola announced the Moto Edge X30 and Moto Edge S30 flagship smartphones in China. As scheduled, the Edge X30 went on its first sale in the home market. Soon after making it available for purchase, the company took to its Weibo handle that it crossed 100 million Yuan mark in its first sale.
The Moto Edge X30 comes in three variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are priced at 3,199 Yuan ($502), 3,399 Yuan ($534), and 3,599 Yuan ($565). The handset was made available through multiple e-commerce platforms such as JD.com, Taobao Mall, Douyin, and Kuaishou.
In the first 25 minutes of the sale, the sales of the Moto X30 crossed 100 million Yuan mark. This indicates that the company sold around 27,785 and 31,260 units of the Moto Edge X30. Lenovo China General Manager for mobile division took to Weibo to claim that the company sold over 10,000 units of the Edge X30 in less than 3 minutes.
Moto Edge X30 Specifications
The Moto Edge X30 is the world’s first phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. It ships with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It is packed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging.
The Edge X30 has a 6.67-inch OLED display that produces a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device boots to My UX 3.0 based Android 12.
The X30 is blessed with a 60-megapixel front-facing camera. Its back panel features an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
