In the past week, Xiaomi and Google had joined forces to announce the Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One smartphone. Its specifications suggest that it is the same Xiaomi Mi 5X smartphone that was unveiled in July. However, the Mi A1 does not feature MIUI 9 proprietary Android skin from Xiaomi. Fresh information suggest that we may soon see another Android One with impressive specs. According to popular leakster Evan Blass, there could be Android One version of the Motorola Moto X4 smartphone that was unveiled at the beginning of this month.

During the launch of Mi A1, Google had confirmed that we may see more of better specced Android One smartphones in future. Blass claims that the Moto X4’s Android One edition will not include “X4” in its moniker. Motorola phones are usually known to carry stock version of Android with very few customizations from Motorola in the form of Moto Experiences that includes like Moto Display, Moto Voice and so on. Hence, the user experience on Moto X4 Android One phone may not be different from the original Moto X4.
The Android One edition of Moto X4 would be getting faster updates. It could be the first Android One to break cover in the U.S. The phone is expected to be available through multiple carriers in the country.
