Motorola is reportedly working on the Edge 2023 smartphone. The moniker of the device suggests that it will be less powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Edge+ 2023 available in the US. Ahead of the expected launch, a new report by Pricebaba has revealed the design of the Edge 2023.
Motorola Edge 2023 leaked render
The leaked render of the Motorola Edge 2023 suggests that it resembles the Motorola Edge 40, which is available in Europe and India. Hence, it is likely that the Edge 2023 could just be a modified or rebadged version of the Edge 40 for the US. To recall, the Edge 2023+ available in the US is just a rebranded version of the Edge 40 Pro and Moto X40 available in Europe and China, respectively.
Motorola Edge 40 specifications
The Motorola Edge 40 is equipped with an IP68-rated dust- and water-resistant chassis. On the front, it has a 6.55-inch P-OLED FHD+ curved-edge screen with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. The display is integrated with a fingerprint scanner, and its punch hole houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Moving to the back, the Edge 40 has a dual-camera unit headlined by a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support. It is joined by a 13-megapixel camera for ultra-wide shots. The device runs on Android 13, which has a layer of Motorola’s My UX interface on top.
The Dimensity 8020 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging are what power the Edge 40. The device also supports 15W wireless charging. The Edge 40 comes in 128 GB and 256 GB storage editions.
